The Effect of Rehabilitation Programs in Some Knee Joint Injuries
Synopsis
This study was conducted to examine the effects of the program applied in rehabilitation centers on athletes who experienced knee joint treatment process after some knee injuries. Fourteen male athletes with different sports branches, aged between 18-25 years, who had knee joint ligament problems and had surgery due to this problem, who came to private rehabilitation and physical therapy centers in Kirkuk, participated voluntarily. Statistical analysis of the data obtained as a result of the study was performed using SPPS 21.0 package program. Descriptive statistical methods were used in the evaluation of the data. Wilcoxon signed-rank test, which is nonparametric, was used to compare the initial values taken before the exercise program and the values taken after the exercise program. The results of the study showed that rehabilitation programs for anterior cruciate ligament injury had a positive effect on restoring the range of motion of the knee joint, getting rid of femoral muscle atrophy, and improving quick strength and strength continuity parameters.
