However, Industrial Revolution led to radical changes in the unerstanding of tourism as in every field; paved the way for development of tourism as an industry. Economic and technological developments changed working hours and leisure time habits. Besides, thanks to improvement of transportation facilities, travel became easier for all.  In parallel with technological advances, development of internet and communication technologies led to significant transformation in the tourism industry, also shaped both needs and expectations of tourists. In today's world, tourism processes are rapidly evolving with the impact of digitalization, internet and smart technologies, accordingly accommodaion industry have to adapt the latest innovations. Current digital transformation and integration of technology into accommodation operations may provide competitive advantage by facilitating processes on both supply and demand sides. Moreover, these may empower organizations in managing customer relations, improving service quality and operational efficiency. Within the current section, products of advanced technology such as artificial intelligence and robots, cloud computing systems, virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality applications are explained.
