Synopsis

Emblems, which are among the dominant visual elements of the corporate identity creation process, are communication design outputs created about how the brand wants to introduce itself in the process of meeting with the target audience. Emblems, which are the least variable of the visual elements used by the brand in the process of defining and explaining itself, should tell a lot despite containing few elements, and at the same time, they should have features that will remain in the reader's mind and distinguish the brand from others. This study, which was carried out with the aim of understanding and making sense of what an emblem actually is, how it emerged, how it is perceived today, and how it differs from similar designs, also aims to eliminate the confusion about what is an emblem and what is not.
