Synopsis

This study addresses the positive effects of massage on physical and mental health. Massage has been used for thousands of years to provide relaxation and mental calmness, and it stands out as a natural method to cope with stress and muscle tension resulting from modern life. Massage practices are generally classified as classic, therapeutic, and sports massage, offering numerous health benefits. It is known that massage enhances blood circulation, facilitating the transport of more oxygen and nutrients to tissues, which accelerates the tissue renewal process.

Research shows that massage has positive effects not only on muscles but also on the nervous system and internal organs. Regular massage sessions help relax muscles, reduce tension, improve sleep quality, and relieve post-surgical pain. Additionally, it is used as a supportive method for various health issues, such as respiratory problems in children. Sports massages, in particular, help athletes by reducing muscle tension, speeding up recovery, and enhancing flexibility.

In conclusion, massage should be regarded as an essential tool for health rather than a luxury. It is crucial to raise awareness among individuals to maximize the benefits of massage. Acquiring information from reliable sources, seeking support from professional massage therapists, and participating in educational seminars are recommended.
