Synopsis
In today's business world, a change process is being experienced where it is no longer sufficient to only focus on producing quality-oriented products, and companies are forced to compete in their supply chains. Uninterrupted supply chain management can be achieved through the right supplier selection. This approach helps the company to increase its competitiveness, reduce its costs, and increase customer satisfaction. In this study, the supplier selection problem of the raw material that directly affects the production and has critical importance in the purchasing cost of a company operating in the packaging sector has been examined, and it is aimed to select the optimum supplier for the company. The supplier evaluation criteria of the company are determined as quality, cost, delivery, food safety, certification, and after-sales service in line with the literature review and the opinions of the decision-making group. In the study, AHP and COPRAS methods, which are multi-criteria decision-making methods, were used in an integrated manner. The weights of the criteria were calculated using the AHP method. The COPRAS method was used to prioritize the alternatives. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that the optimum supplier is T4. Necessary recommendations have been made to the relevant industry officials and researchers.
