Synopsis

This book chapter aims to explore the applicability of sustainable infrastructure solutions for critical infrastructures. The study examines engineering and management strategies developed to enhance the resilience and sustainability of these infrastructures. In this context, the implementation of sustainable infrastructure solutions in various geographical and socio-economic settings is assessed through case studies and theoretical approaches.
The scope of the book chapter includes areas such as urban planning, energy management, water resource management, wastewater treatment systems, and disaster management. Each area is addressed through relevant literature reviews and case studies, focusing on the technical, economic, and environmental aspects of sustainable infrastructure. Additionally, detailed analyses of existing infrastructure projects in various cities and the factors influencing the success of these projects are provided.
This study aims to guide the effective application of sustainable infrastructure solutions in both current and future infrastructure projects. It also offers comprehensive information on the challenges faced in managing critical infrastructures and the innovative approaches used to overcome these challenges. The findings of the study provide practical recommendations and strategies for policymakers, urban planners, and engineers.
