While man's struggle with nature was initially in the form of a relatively equal relationship based on existential reasons and related to the hunting and gathering process, it later resulted in the plunder and plunder of nature, first with the agricultural revolution and then with the more comprehensive industrial revolution. Aside from the needs of the rapidly increasing population, the insatiable greed for profit has led to a great destruction along with the understanding of neoliberal policies that ignores the public interest and weakens the state control in line with the interests of the private sector, beyond the understanding of classical liberalism. Many volunteers, who do not consent to this ecological destruction and have a relatively environmental awareness, have sought to do something with the reflex. Many environmental organizations and platforms emerged in Turkey as well as in the world, with the initiative of some volunteers who met in various political parties, unions and associations. One of them is the Büyük Menderes Initiative. Büyük Menderes Initiative, or BMI in short, has been working on streams, streams, streams, rivers, lakes, seas, mountains, forests, plateaus, etc. As a non-governmental organization (NGO), it continues all kinds of political-legal struggles to involve the public in the ecological struggle against those who recklessly covet all kinds of geographical areas.
