Synopsis
The General Partnership is recognised as a commercial company with legal personality in the second book titled "Commercial Companies" of the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 dated 2011. However, it is also stated that a collective company is a sole proprietorship. Indeed, it is understood that the regulations regarding the general partnership in the TCC (Art. 211-303 TCC) indicate that the company has the characteristics of a typical private company. This is because a collective company is established between real persons and the liability of all shareholders is full and unlimited.
