Synopsis
The design and evaluation of lighting systems are of great importance for the continuity of human life. For the design of a lighting system, the intended use must first be determined correctly. In this design process, the characteristics of the lighting devices, the physical dimensions of the working environment and environmental conditions are evaluated together when making lighting calculations. It is as important to evaluate the performance of existing lighting systems as the correct design of lighting systems. For the evaluation of lighting systems, some photometric measurements need to be made in the environment where the system is located. Some measuring instruments that measure light are used for photometric measurements. When making photometric measurements, it is very important that the people who will make measurements have knowledge about the size to be measured and measurement techniques, and that the correct device is selected. In this study, first information about photometric measurements will be given and then lighting calculations will be made.
