Synopsis

In line with the goal of environmentally friendly sustainable growth, green public procurement is considered an effective public policy for sustainable production and consumption in the European Union (EU). In this study, the EU's work on green public procurement will be discussed, difficulties encountered in the implementation of green public procurement and how effective the EU is in the implementation of green public procurement by member states will be tried to be evaluated. Although many legal regulations have been made and many policies have been implemented by the EU for green public procurement, many difficulties are encountered in the implementation of green public procurement, it seems that the Union has not had the desired effect on the implementation of green public procurement by member countries.
