Synopsis

Academic  and institutional studies on e-learning success criteria and student satisfaction measurement have increased intensively compared to previous years, especially during the COVID-2019 period. As institutions made a rapid transition to e-learning during the pandemic period, the opportunity was gained to identify deficiencies in technology, course contents, usability of distance education systems, presentation tools, online exams, student interest and interaction components and make improvements. There are many academic studies investigating the measurement of e-learning criteria. However, the development of an e-learning supply chain model that integratedly presents e-learning in measuring organizational success and improving performance by identifying deficiencies will guide researchers and institutions in the management and control of e-learning. In this study, an e-learning supply chain network model was designed by adapting the members of the traditional supply chain, consisting of suppliers, manufacturers, distribution centers and customers, to e-learning systems. The members of the e-learning supply chain network designed in this context consist of suppliers-academic units, manufacturers-instructors, distribution center-distance education system and customers-students. Thus, the measurement of e-learning success criteria is analyzed with supply chain performance models to determine the current performance of the system and contribute to improvements. It is thought that the e-learning supply chain network developed by analogy in this study will assist academic studies in the field of e-learning and bring a different perspective in the design of the system to organizations that manage e-learning activities.
