Synopsis

Sports allow individuals to discover themselves, compete under equal conditions, accept defeat and appreciate others. This shows that sports include many important elements beyond being just a physical activity. Sports not only improves physical health, but also contributes to the personal development of individuals. As it is known, doing sports allows many people to improve their psychological health as well as their physical health. Individuals can feel happy thanks to the endorphin hormone secreted from the body during a sports activity. In addition, people's stress levels decrease and their self-confidence levels increase. In this context, the effect of sports on subjective well-being was examined in the current section.
