Synopsis

Renewable energy, which is a great alternative to the reduction of fossil fuels, their negative effects on the environment and the climate and the rapidly increasing oil prices, attracts a lot of attention in the energy sector with its environmental friendliness and sustainability. The idea that it will be easier to reach the macroeconomic plans determined by increasing the renewable energy investments of the states has brought the subject of research to the forefront of the efficiency of renewable energy investments. The different types of renewable energy sources necessitate the determination of energy efficiency primarily according to the source type. The type of resource that is determined effectively is also the determinant of technology investments to be brought to the fore in the country. The aim of this study is to analyze the investment efficiency of five renewable energy sources (geothermal energy, hydroelectric energy-HE, wind energy-WE, biomass energy and solar energy-SE) in Turkey in line with public technology investment and renewable energy resources policy objectives. assessing its effectiveness. According to both CCR-O and BCC-O models, geothermal energy is the most effective renewable energy source in terms of investment efficiency in Turkey. In CCR-O, the active resources after geothermal are HE and SE, and in BCC-O, HE and WE. Biomass and WE in the CCR-O model, and only biomass energy in BCC-O were found to be ineffective in investment efficiency. According to the scale type, it was determined that WE production took place on a decreasing scale.
