Synopsis

It is known that nature and greenery give people peace, relieve stress and relax them. Today, reasons such as the increasing importance of environmental protection, awareness and sensitivity, intense and stressful working conditions, crowded and noisy city life increase people's interest in nature. In line with this increasing interest, nature-based tourism types are gaining importance. Due to its characteristics, botanical tourism has an important place in both nature-based tourism types and special interest tourism. Botanical tourism has an important role in protecting biodiversity, increasing its awareness and transferring it to future generations. However, since it is a type of tourism based on the environment and nature, it is very important to develop it in a sustainable way. In the development of botanical tourism, it is very important to have guides who are experts in this field and have sufficient education on plants, and to bring botanical parks and gardens into tourism, to develop, promote and market them well both at home and abroad.
