Synopsis

The political ideologies are movements of thought and action that influenced the entire 20th century. The state and its administrative apparatus, bureaucracy, which is one of the main objects of discussion, is an area that ideologies try to shape within the framework of their political and economic views. Political ideologies in Turkish political life began to exert their weight from the 1960s onwards, thereby affecting the country’s politics. The National Opinion Movement, which emerged as a way out in a period when statist and liberal approaches called right and left were active, has an understanding that takes Islam as a reference. In this way, even though the Islamic segment, which was liquidated from the first years of the Republic, took part in right-wing politics for a while, it had the opportunity to engage in politics in accordance with its own belief values with the National Opinion Movement. The movement, which has been represented in political life by five political parties to date, has also deeply influenced Turkish political life with the parties established by the cadres who left it. The study aims to reveal the bureaucracy approach of the National Opinion Movement, which has a unique intellectual infrastructure apart from liberal and socialist approaches. Using the literature review, the bureaucracy approaches of National Opinion parties were examined through party programs, coalition protocols and election declarations.
