Synopsis

Those who are very high achievers in the organizational setting or those in a minority position experience the Impostor Syndrome, which includes feelings that make them feel cheated and attribute their success to external forces when they fulfill certain expectations because of their inability to digest their success or the level of success others attribute to them. Being impostor means pretending to be someone who is not real and displaying an unreal achievement. The Syndrome of Impostor has become an issue that has gained importance in recent years due to the inner feeling of inadequacy, the sense of impostor, and self-doubt about one's abilities and achievements. The article tried to reveal the development and causes of Impostor Syndrome and its effects at the level of individuals and organizations who experience these behaviours.
