Celebrities have started to use the metaverse as a brand extension, and it is inevitable that businesses have to apply the same way. The metaverse has become an important platform of online activities for the consumers. This digital world aims to meet new needs by moving people's physical world into a digital universe. The metaverse offers valuable opportunities not only in online platforms but also in the real world. Therefore, multidimensional effects of the metaverse can be discussed. It is for this reason that studies about the metaverse require a multidisciplinary approach, and it is important to include different academic disciplines such as computer science, engineering, data science, law and social policy, as well as the fields examining marketing and advertising.

This new reality has blurred the boundaries between the real and virtual world for the consumers. The metaverse has gained popularity for major global brands as well as regional and local brands. It is important for local businesses to explore this new environment and adapt to this platform. Pioneering businesses in the metaverse can gain great opportunities. Therefore, the metaverse has a great impact on the business world and it is important for businesses to gain competitiveness by using this technology. The metaverse offers unlimited opportunities for businesses, so they need to explore it quickly and take part in this new world.
