Synopsis

The rapid development and transformation of technology changed the functioning of the finance sector as well as many other sectors. It is seen that banks in the financial sector develop digital solutions to offer their products and services such as money transfer, bill payments, and account opening at all hours of the day, through smartphones, tablets, and other internet-connected hardware to provide faster and easier access to their customers. It is seen that the banking sector has entered an important digital transformation process with the development of technology, and they use new generation technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and biometric authentication in their products and services. This new process facilitates banking transactions and provides an opportunity to provide better service to customers. Banks should attach importance to effective marketing strategies in digital banking services to have a wider customer base, increase loyalty in existing customers, reduce service costs, and make more reliable transactions in a competitive environment. This study examines the process and development of digital transformation in the banking sector. With the findings obtained from the study, it has been concluded that banks do not have any difficulties in integrating with developing technologies and that they reflect technological developments on their products and services. The increase in the number of customers accessing banking services through digital channels and the continuous increase in this increase are the most obvious indicators of this situation. The enactment of laws and regulations by the legislative mechanisms for the development of digital banking services in Turkey is among the important factors that accelerate digital banking and the digitalization of banking services. It is considered that marketing the services of banks to their customers through digital channels will not only have a positive impact on the financial performance of the banks but will also contribute to the country's economy at an increasing rate.
