Synopsis

The changing dynamism of working life drives the balance of power of the parties to working life and the mechanisms regulating working life to change. The collective spirit of the industrial relations system has undergone a transformation process under the influence of neoliberal policies.  With the inclusion of human resources management, which is a product of neoliberal policies, in the industrial relations system, the employee has started to rise to a central position within the enterprise. It has gained the power to manage its own bargaining process. The collective spirit of the industrial relations system has started to shift from pluralism to unitarism with the practices of human resources management that allow the employee to raise his/her voice against the employer and the rising qualities of labor. One of the effective practices in the transition to unitarism is employee voice.

The aim of this study is to draw attention to the concept of employee voice, one of the new working concepts created by change, and to underline that the industrial relations system continues to move forward on an individualistic basis.  The aim is to analyze how the concept of employee voice affects the industrial relations system in this process of change.
