Synopsis
Occupational vitality is defined as a synergy between high satisfaction, productivity and engagement. It refers to the ability of employees to work consistently with passion, vitality, mastery and satisfaction and to pursue the goals of the organisation and to achieve their own goals. The fact that the employee has professional vitality indicates that he/she does his/her job passionately and energetically, is skilful in his/her job and is satisfied with his/her job. Individuals with high occupational vitality fulfil their duties by feeling good both physically and mentally. In addition, employees with high occupational vitality are energetic, have a high sense of duty and responsibility, perform their jobs skilfully and have high job satisfaction. Employees with professional vitality are people who work efficiently, have productive and innovative thoughts, and energise their teammates significantly.
As can be seen, occupational vitality has an important role and effect in working life and is one of the indispensable characteristics for success. Occupational vitality is a very important phenomenon in terms of organisational outputs such as performance, organisational commitment, security, burnout and agility. What makes this concept an important phenomenon is that it is the source of energy that increases performance in organisations and enables employees to do their jobs successfully. However, it is possible to see that few studies have been conducted in the domestic literature recently. It would be appropriate to investigate the meaning and importance of the concept, its dimensions, individual and organisational results by more scientists. In this context, in this section, the subject is discussed in detail in order to provide information about professional vitality and to raise awareness among employees and managers.
