Synopsis
In order to have a healthy human body, it is necessary to participate in various activities and to do the movements consistently. Physical activity, which includes activities such as exercise, sports, recreational activities and dance, is of great importance in the protection and development of health. Planned physical activity reduces cardiovascular disease, diabetes, certain cancers, and helps with weight management and improving mental health. It also allows people to make friends and integrate into society. It has been seen that physical and mental factors affect life satisfaction and participation in physical activity positively affects mental and physical health and life satisfaction. While individuals spend their free time actively participating in recreational physical activities, it supports their cognitive and social development, and contributes to their quality of life thanks to a sedentary lifestyle and socialization, which helps the treatment of various chronic diseases, reduces obesity.
Life satisfaction, which is an important component of quality of life, is an important determinant for individuals' mental and physical health. Life satisfaction meets the pleasure and satisfaction that individuals get from life in relation to feeling happy and good. Another important factor that individuals need to be happy and satisfied with their lives is exercise. In order for individuals to enjoy life and be happy, they must first allocate time for themselves and participate in physical activities. There is a linear relationship between physical and mental health and life satisfaction. It has been observed that the positive relationship between life satisfaction and regular physical activity directs all individuals to physical activity and sports in order to maintain their health and physical level in their free time.
