Synopsis
This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of publications in the field of tourism marketing. The study uses the VOSviewer programme to understand which key concepts, authors, countries and studies are prominent in tourism marketing. The data used in the study covers the data between 2006-2023 taken from the Web of Science database. The analysis produced impressive network maps that visually show how authors, studies and key concepts are related and interact with each other. The study also highlights the authors with the most citations and links and the strongest citation networks in the field of tourism marketing. This analysis helps to identify the leading names and important studies in the field. In addition, this study contributes to the literature as a theoretical and practical tool for researchers and decision makers to synthesise knowledge in the field, identify important links and identify future research directions. According to the results of the analyses conducted in this context, it shows that countries such as the USA and China are the leaders of the field. Among the most frequently used terms in publications on consumer behaviour are "tourism marketing," "tourism," "destination image" "marketing," and "destination marketing" came to the fore. Finally, the most cited authors in the field of tourism marketing are Rob Law, Heesup Han and Dimitrios Buhalis.
