Synopsis

Big data analysis, which is used in the tourism and hotel industry and is expected to be preferred and play a major role in the future, includes the processes of collecting, storing, analyzing and interpreting tourism data.

Big data analysis methods, which are used as an important tool for analyzing tourism demand and determining the tourism potential of countries, are used in the development of marketing strategies in the tourism sector, customer behavior analysis, demand forecasting and pricing. With this method, it is ensured that the business can gain competitive advantage by making decisions based on data, and it can also be effective in the development and management of smart tourism.

Within the scope of the study, the areas in which big data analysis is used in the tourism and hotel industry and its future use are given, while the methods of big data analysis are examined in detail. For this purpose, the contents of big data analysis in terms of data source, big data analysis in terms of process, big data analysis in terms of purpose and big data analysis in terms of method are included.
