Synopsis
In the 21st century, digitalization and rapid developments in communication tools and information technologies have made our lives easier and brought about changes in our habits. In addition, the digital world has begun to take place in almost every sector, and business processes have also been affected by them. These developments have revealed the concept of digital literacy, which will enable us to adapt to the digital environment more easily and avoid its negativities. The phenomenon of digital literacy, which initially focused on computer use, has now focused on the use of the internet and social media, which have entered almost all stages of our lives.
The aim of this study, It is the examination and analysis of postgraduate studies on digital literacy in Turkey. In the literature reviews, it is seen that there is no comprehensive analysis study that determines the orientation of the subjects studied in master's and doctoral theses on digital literacy. From this point of view, it is aimed to examine the thematic distribution of postgraduate education theses on digital literacy in Turkey. The method of the research was document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. Within the scope of the research, it is stated that the studies on "digital literacy" in the National Thesis Center archived by the YÖK Presidency have started to be researched since 2017, and in numerical terms, 80 postgraduate theses, including 1 specialization in medicine, 8 doctoral theses and 71 master's theses. there are studies. As a result of the examination of the studies; There are various postgraduate thesis studies in the fields of communication sciences, science and technology, business administration, public administration, tourism, health sciences management, psychiatry, nursing and sports, mostly and comprehensively in the field of education. Analyzes were made among various groups and it was observed in most of them that there was a positive effect on the phenomenon of digital literacy according to the level of education, metacognitive awareness and frequency of technology use, but in a significant part of the studies, it was observed that significant variables emerged at the level of digital literacy in gender and age variables.
