This research aims to examine the activities of the Department of Sports Education and Research, which performs its duties as a public institution under the roof of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey. In the study, the duties of the department and its units are presented first. In the following parts of the study, information was given about the educational activities carried out by the Department of Sports Education and Research, national and international sports projects and the protocol on sports branch education in primary schools. Statistical data on the activities of the organization were obtained from the authorities of the institution and the relevant data were visualized in tables and graphs and presented in the study. Another aim of the study is to introduce the activities of the Department and to contribute to the related literature by ensuring that these activities carried out by the state in Turkey are included in the written literature. In this study, it can be stated that there are important theoretical and practical implications for individuals who are involved in sports, all institutions and organizations, individuals studying in the field of sports sciences of universities or in different fields, as well as coaches who want to increase their level in their branch and those who are interested in the field, as well as individuals who are foreign with the field. It can also be said that the Department of Sports Education and Research fulfills an important mission in terms of serving the society.
